The final days of the Seattle Beer Week will bring several events to Ballard bars and breweries this week.
Seattle Beer Week, which lasts from May 7 to 16, is a citywide beer festival that was founded in 2009. It includes special brewery nights, educational seminars, trivia, and what seems to be a fairly secretive rendezvous at the Fremont Troll.
Here are events happening in Ballard and beyond for the rest of the Seattle Beer Week:
Tuesday, May 12
- Beer Trivia at El Suenito (106 N 36th St): Come test your beer knowledge and enjoy a cold one at El Sueñito Brewing and Frelard Tamales. Free to play, prizes for top scorers. Happy Hour prices on beers, $4 single tacos, $8 loaded nachos.
- 12 Pack at the Troll (at the Fremont Troll): This one is delightfully vague: “Seattle Beer Week’s longest running guerilla event is back once again. If you know, you know…” the event description reads.
Wednesday, May 13
- Beer Trivia at Aslan Fremont (401 N 36th St, STE 102): To love beer is to know beer? Test your beer knowledge with trivia, including topics like beer history, styles, and local Seattle beer scene. Trivia sponsored by Seattle Beer School!
Thursday, May 14
- An Evening with Dutchess Ales at The Dray (708 NW 65th St): Join us for an evening with Dutchess Ales (NYC) , as founder/brewer MIchael Messenie visits to tap three new releases from his ever-expanding line of excellent European-inspired Lagers, Pilsners and Ales.
- Brewery Tour and Beer Tasting with Urban Family (1103 NW 52nd St): Peek behind the beer curtain at Urban Family Brewing! On Thursday, May 14, we’re hosting brewery tours and an evening of drinking beer with our head brewer.
- Gasworks Brewing DJ Night (2441 N Northlake Way): Local house DJs from 7 to midnight.
Saturday, May 16
- Dirty Couch Brewing Anniversary Party and Pig Roast (2715 W Fort St): Dirty Couch Brewing is celebrating our 11th anniversary and Seattle Beer Week! Come to celebrate with us at our Magnolia taproom on May 16. We will have new releases, a pig roast, and massive discounts. Festivities are happening all day, with food starting around 3 pm.
- Old Stove Brewing Co. Washers Tournament (600 W Nickerson St): Join the Old Stove Brewing Co. crew and friends from Beardslee Public House as we kick off the first Beer Week Washer’s Tournament!
