The new Interbay pickleball facility, Pickle at the Palms, has announced it will open in August.
Seattle Storm co-owner Ginny Gilder and her family announced plans for Pickle at the Palms in July 2025, which will be a new 20-court indoor pickleball facility. The project is near the BECU Storm Center for Basketball Performance. Construction started last summer.

“As a Seattle family, we want to invest in our city, to create places for our community to connect, and to introduce people to the health and happiness that the lifelong sport of pickleball provides,” Gilder said in a statement. “Our family loves sports, and we understand the business of sports. With our recent experience developing the Storm’s new home, we also know how to create an exceptional athletic facility that is tailored to the needs and desires of players,” she added.

According to the original announcement, the facility is being built as a two-story, climate-controlled pickleball destination designed specifically for the sport. Plans include 20 professional-quality indoor courts, court-view social lounges, a pro shop, showers, parking, and integrated Playsight technology with on-court cameras and replay systems. The project also includes a large mural along the building’s 15th Avenue W. façade by Seattle artist Sam Wood.
Mainstay Provisions will be running the cafe at Pickle at the Palms.
The facility is intended to serve players of all ages and skill levels, with programming expected to include open play, classes, clinics, tournaments, coaching, and social events.
Pickle at the Palms has started selling memberships, which they say are being sold at a discount through July 15.
