Club Pilates opens NW Market St studio in Ballard

Club Pilates has opened a studio in Ballard at 1545 NW Market St on the ground floor of the LEVA apartment building next to Tropical Tan.

Club Pilates started in San Diego in 2007, and they now have over 1,300 studios all over the country. There are two in Seattle: One in South Lake Union and another near the Seattle Center.

Classes at Club Pilates Ballard are primarily Reformer-based, with several formats that incorporate other equipment and training styles. Reformer Flow is the studio’s standard Pilates class, while Cardio Sculpt uses a jumpboard for low-impact cardio. Control incorporates standing exercises and weights, and Suspend combines Reformer exercises with TRX suspension training.

Other classes include Circuit, which combines strength, mobility and cardio exercises; Restore, which incorporates foam rolling and myofascial release; and Center + Balance, which focuses on stretching and mobility. Classes are offered at several experience levels, ranging from Level 1 for beginners to Level 2.5 for more advanced participants.

The Ballard location is in the space formerly occupied by Emerald City Smoothie.

Club Pilates Ballard hosted its soft opening in late July and is now offering classes from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on weekends.
