According to, the Spirit of Nantucket started taking on water was purposefully run aground. 66 people were on board, but no one was injured. Today the cruise ship will be renamed the Spirit of Glacier Bay and be reassigned to a 3-4 day Alaska Cruise schedule. Pastor Erik Wilson Weiberg of Ballard First Lutheran Church will bless the vessel at the event.
