A look inside the Art Church

We stopped by grand opening party of the Art Church at 61st St. and 20th Ave. to snap a few photos of artist Marianne Maksirisombat’s collection inside.

We arrived just as the party was getting underway. The pews are gone, and Maksirisombat’s artwork lines the walls in the congregation hall.

Maksirisombat recently moved into the vacant Ballard Assembly of God church, and she’s turned it into an art studio.

Tiki torches light the way to the front entrance.

A huge piece draws the particular attention of a party-goer.

You can see much of Maksirisombat’s work online right here.
