Big turnout at Ballard High music fundraiser

A couple hundred people attended the Ballard High School Music Department‘s annual spaghetti dinner and fundraiser Saturday evening.

All of Ballard High’s instrumental and vocal groups performed for the crowd, including the orchestra and concert choir.

Both those groups have been invited to perform in New York this spring — the concert choir at Lincoln Center and the orchestra at the historic Riverside Church. Saturday’s dinner will help all the groups in their various activities.

  1. Thanks to all the supporters of Ballard High School Music Program! This fundraiser will help send over 100 students to New York City this spring. This is a wonderful opportunity for these students, but is also a very expensive trip.

We are soliciting donations from the community to help with scholarships for this trip. For many students, scholarship money is the only thing standing between them going or not.

So far this year, the music booster scholarship committee has awarded over $7500.00 in scholarships to our music students.

We would like to do more!

Please say you'll support our music program, and its students by making an online donation on our website:

    http://www.ballardbeavers.org/music/index.html

At the bottom of the page, you'll see a 'donate' button!

Then while you're there, check out our calendar to find other events you may wish to participate in.

On behalf of the Ballard High School music students and families, Thank You!!
