‘Count to 100’ bandit may be Blockbuster robber

A robbery at a Ballard Blockbuster store may be the work of a serial robber.  As we reported last week, a man robbed the Blockbuster on 5900 15th Ave NW on May 5.  Seattle Police now tell MyBallard the same man is believed to be responsible for two more robberies that same day, one at a 7-Eleven in Wallingford and the other at the Ben and Jerry’s in Green Lake.

In each case, a man wearing either a mask or bandana showed a handgun and demanded that the clerks give him the money in the cash register.  Before leaving, he told all the clerks to count to 100 or they’d be shot.  Police haven’t released any surveillance video from the robberies yet, but they ask anyone with information to call authorities.
