Two transportation-related meetings tomorrow

There are two transportation-related meetings on Tuesday evening – one in Ballard, the other at Northgate.

  • The Seattle Department of Transportation is working to update its Transit Master Plan. SDOT is hosting an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ballard High School Library (1418 NW 65th St) to discuss the draft summary report. You can read more about the Transit Master Plan here.
  • The Seattle Road Safety Summit, a public forum on road safety, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Northgate Community Center (10510 5th Avenue NE). The forum will begin with a short presentation with data, followed by a discussion on these three questions:

    1. What do you think are the highest priority safety problems to solve on Seattle roads?
    2. What do you think are the most important things to do to make Seattle roads safer?
    3. We often talk about what government can do to promote safety. What are the ways that non-governmental groups and individuals can promote safety?

If you can’t attend this forum, there will be another one on Monday, December 12th in the Bertha Knight Landes room at Seattle City Hall (600 4th Ave, Seattle WA 98104).
