Shots fired during fight at Golden Gardens

Shots were fired during a fight disturbance at Golden Gardens at approximately 8:04 p.m. on Friday night, March 29. SPD officers arrived at the scene responding to a 911 call and are still looking for the suspects who fired the shots. Check out more details from the SPD North Precinct blotter post:

Preliminary investigation indicates that the first victim got into a verbal argument with a male in the park. The victim was punched in the face by a male suspect, breaking his jaw. Another unassociated group of males attempted to break up the fight.

A male subject who was with the assault suspect pulled a small handgun out of his pocket. The second victim was part of the group who had broken up the fight. He wrestled the gun out of the hand of the gun-wielding suspect and then tried to hold that suspect until police arrived.

A third suspect from the original group approached, pulled out a handgun and fired one round into the ground next to the second victim and the first gun-wielding suspect.

The second victim released the first gun-wielding suspect and all three suspects fled the scene.

Officers arrived and sealed off the entrance to the park while the area was searched however, the suspects remain at large.

Nobody was injured as a result of the gunfire.

Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identities or whereabouts of any of the involved suspects is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police and refer to this incident. Anonymous tips are welcome.
