A new cafe is going into the space formerly occupied by The Counter, just behind Trader Joe’s in the Ballard Blocks. It’s called Ballard Bridge Cafe, and according to their bare-bones website, they’ll be open sometime in October. The Counter suddenly closed last year, and the space has been empty ever since.
“We are pedaling as fast as we can,” they write on their website. “There are still lots of things to do (this site being one of them). Hang tight, we’ll be open soon…”
