Ballard High School could win up to $100,000 and a free Kelly Clarkson concert through a State Farm-sponsored promotion that encourages safe driving. The “Celebrate My Drive” contest is going on through Oct. 24, and community members can pledge here. The top 100 schools with the most pledges will win grant money, and the top two schools get the free concert.
Carrie Burr with BHS says the school is currently in 809th place, but that you can pledge once a day to make the pledge. Everyone over the age of 14 can vote. The winners will be announced on Nov. 6 and the grant money will be awarded at the end of the year.
