BHS senior recognized as Athlete of the Week

A Ballard student has been selected as one of the Athletes of the Week by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA). Twelve varsity athletes are selected each week throughout the school year, and this week, Antoine Patton from Ballard High School.

Patton is a senior at BHS, and was selected by the association for his achievements in football. He helped BHS win over Roosevelt last week, scoring three touchdown runs, totaling 210 yards on 16 carries. He also scored a two-point conversion, accounted for nine tackles, and had a 28-yard interception.

According to a statement from the association, in recognition of their accomplishment, each Athlete of the Week winner receives a congratulatory letter from WIAA Executive Director, Mike Colbrese, a commemorative WIAA State Athlete of the Week t-shirt, and a certificate.
