Radio station on the lookout for local talent

KBFG, the low-frequency FM station serving Ballard, Fremont, Greenwood/Phinney, and parts of Queen Anne and Magnolia, are on the lookout for locals to get involved.

The station is hosting a Programming Potluck on Monday, January 25, at Ballard Library (5614 22nd Ave NW) from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. to look for on air talent and production staff.

“Don’t bring dinner – just your ideas, equipment, and gear. Whatever you’ve got,” says Mikey  Falcon from KBFG.

KBFG station is run by Fulcrum Communications, who got the green light from the FCC for their low-power community radio station in our area last summer.

The local station is currently streaming online and is set to go on-air this June.
