Anthony’s Shilshole to close after 30 years

The My Ballard team is sad to report that long-term Ballard staple, Anthony’s Homeport Shilshole Bay (6135 Seaview Ave NW), will close permanently at the close of business on Sunday, March 27, after 30 years.

The news has been confirmed by Anthony’s restaurant manager and we have reached out to higher management for more information regarding the reasons behind the closure.

The following message has been written on the Anthony’s website:

We are sad to announce that Anthony’s HomePort at Shilshole Bay will be closing. The restaurant’s final day will be Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016.

We are grateful for the support we have received from the community and look forward to continuing to serve you at our other restaurants.

According to an email from a My Ballard reader, the closure was announced on Tuesday and the reason is a loss of revenue over the years. The reader confirmed that employees have been offered the opportunity to transfer to other Anthony’s locations.

We will update the post when more information is known.
