The award-winning students in the Ballard High filmmaking program are getting ready to screen new work at an upcoming film festival.
The Ballard Film Festival will be on Saturday, Feb. 9 in the BHS auditorium, and will feature some of the latest short comedies, dramas, and music videos made by the students.
The filmmaking program at BHS is notorious for putting out award-winning films.
This fall, BHS students earned five Official Selections at the international All American High School Film Festival in New York City, six national nominations (and three winners) from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, two winners at Fresh Film Northwest, and two Official Selections plus 3rd Prize in the 48-Hour Film competition at the National Film Festival for Talented Youth.
Tickets for the festival are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and will be sold at the door. All funds raised will benefit the school’s filmmaking program. The festival starts at 7pm at the BHS auditorium (1418 NW 65th Street).

Congrats on all of the national and international recognition, BHS students! Keep up the great work.
