After almost 30 years, Java Bean to rebrand with new name Venture Coffee Co.

One of the longest running coffee shops in Ballard has announced that they’re rebranding.

As part of the rebrand, Java Bean is going to change their name to Venture Coffee Co. The company, which has been operating in Ballard for almost 30 years, says they’ll keep many things the same, but with a new look.

“Just as we are built on tradition, we value innovation. We are updating our look, and as always, will continue to source excellent coffee and provide amazing breakfast bagels,” the sign reads in front of the shop.

Java will close from Feb. 25 to March 3 while they renovate.

  1. Java Bean is one of my favorite coffee spots in Ballard! Excited to see what they come up with for an update. Hopefully its just as cozy as it is now. Here’s to a new adventure for Venture!

  3. Such a great coffee shop! I personally don’t think they need a rebranding, but either way they will always be a great cup of coffee and valuable part of the community.
