A 34-year-old man from Tukwila is now in custody for posing as a ride-share driver in Ballard and sexually assaulting a woman in December.
According to KIRO 7, the man turned himself in after police released photos of the man in an attempt to locate him. A family member recognized him, which prompted the man to turn himself in.
The incident happened on Dec. 16, 2018, when the woman was at a bar on the 5100 block of Ballard Ave. A friend reportedly ordered the ride for her, and she got into a car with the suspect, who claimed to be her driver. He then drove to White Center, where he sexually assaulted her.
She reported the crime shortly after, but detectives had exhausted their leads prior to releasing surveillance footage of the man, which was taken from the woman’s home in White Center after the rape occurred.
The man is now being held in King County Jail.

For anyone that has a daughter this is a very scary situation. This guy deserves to be put away for a long time. He need to understand that it is not alright to abuse women or anyone! People should be able to live in a society where they can enjoy life and have a good time and not be worried about some scumbag violating them if they are inebriated.
I have a daughter and if this happened to her I would probably take this guy out! Or at least cut his balls off. No kidding.
