BHS Men’s Ensemble takes second in state

The Ballard High School Men’s Ensemble have returned from the state competition with a second-place finish.

The state competition was held in Ellensburg at Central Washington University over the weekend. In the state’s Solo Competition, Gabe Zuniga took second place for Tenor Voice, and Max Levy took 3rd for Bass Clarinet.

The annual competition, hosted by the Washington Music Educators Association (WMEA), is the culmination of 22 regional contests. The ensemble competition includes seven categories: woodwinds, brass, percussion, strings, women’s vocal, men’s vocal and mixed vocal.
