BHS Men’s Ensemble takes second in state

The Ballard High School Men’s Ensemble have returned from the state competition with a second-place finish.

The state competition was held in Ellensburg at Central Washington University over the weekend. In the state’s Solo Competition, Gabe Zuniga took second place for Tenor Voice, and Max Levy took 3rd for Bass Clarinet.

The annual competition, hosted by the Washington Music Educators Association (WMEA), is the culmination of 22 regional contests. The ensemble competition includes seven categories: woodwinds, brass, percussion, strings, women’s vocal, men’s vocal and mixed vocal.

Congratulations to the BHS musicians!

    1. Please stop making absurd comments about minors. These kids worked hard, put in a lot of time and effort and did a wonderful job. They deserve praise not spastic trolling.

        1. So now you think any kid who goes to to high school and is in an ensemble, is privileged? According to this logic and your previous posts, since you live is Ballard, you are a privileged, entitled, NIMBY yuppie too, so I guess you’d know from experience.

          1. Many kids are homeless or don’t get to go as nice of high schools. The fact that these kids parade around in tuxedos flaunting their privilege is just sad.

          2. So then anyone, well-off or poor, who wears nice clothes, or in this case a tux for their school performance, is flaunting privilege? Some kids are poor and can’t afford computers or internet too, so that must mean that by you posting here, you are flaunting your privilege?

It’s astounding, but not surprising, how ignorant and uneducated your comments are.

  1. Not diverse enough. Too many males, no unnatural hair colors such as blue, green, etc.
I don’t see a single septum ring or hijab.
Better get Shawarma Sawant on the case and boycott/shame/protest until they’re the Neutral Gender Rainbow Singers of Wokelandia.

    1. These are men, according to the headline.
      Men’s Ensemble.
You need to stop obsessing over my comments, Freja. Get another cat or convert to some patriarchal foreign religion or start a garden.

        1. For the umpteenth time, Freja, conservative men aren’t interested in shrill feminists. Thanks but the hostility has been really too flirty for me and it’s making me uncomfortable.

I would suggest taking up range shooting, eating meat, and reading books not written by postmodern hacks if you want to meet a right wing guy,

I would suggest the same thing for you lil bucky, since you are wasting so much time trolling and aren’t even good at it.
