DogSpot launches in Ballard at QFC

High-tech dog kennels — called DogSpots — are launching in several Seattle locations this week, including Ballard.

The DogSpots will be stationed outside of QFCs around the city, in Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, Wallingford, U-Village, and in Kirkland and Redmond.

The kennels provide a safe space for dog owners to keep their pups whilst shopping. Operated via an app, the dog houses are lockable, self-sanitizing, camera-monitored, and temperature-controlled. Dog parents can even check in on their dogs with the kennels’ “Puppy Cam” feed. The houses are heated in the winter, and air-conditioned in the summer.

The kennels at QFC will be free to use for the first 90 days with the code QFC90 if you sign up before June 30.

The company, which launched in New York City, is making Seattle their largest DogSpot city network outside of New York.

    1. They would have to be put in and taken out by a junkie friend who has the app and is willing to pay the $0.30 per minute so I don’t think that is going to be much of a concern. The kennels are locked until opened with the app.

  1. Absurdistan.

Can the hobos fit in these? Maybe these dog condos can also be safe injection sites?

You Seattle dog mommies are the Marie Antoinettes of 2019. Woof!
