Mysterious chalk artist brings color to Ballard sidewalks

Beautiful chalk art has been popping up on Ballard’s sidewalks.

The artist, whose identity is still a mystery, has been creating the designs mostly in central Ballard, often near the Post Office. The photo above was taken by Anthony Poff, who saw the designs at 17th Ave NW and NW 57th St.

“The Sidewalk Chalk Bomber struck again last night,” Poff writes in theMy Ballard Group on Facebook. “It’s pretty bad; got beauty and joy all over me when I came out this morning.”

  1. Oh no, please don’t try to find out their identity. The unknown is part of the magic of their drawings. (And they might stop if found out).

    1. I agree. If they wanted to be identified they would sign their work, self promote, or come forward. Outing people is disrespectful.

  2. Well at least it’s not the ” don’t kill or eat animals ” from our vegan friends dress in black like antifa ! What a World we live in but anything can happen in “Toon Town ” Ballard !

    1. FFS Clipper, what “world” are you living in?
FYI not all vegans dress in black and write things on the sidewalk! But now I am thinking about it just to piss you off.
