Freakout Festival to take over Ballard this weekend

One of the neighborhood’s biggest festivals is happening this weekend: Freakout 7 will bring live music to several venues all over downtown Ballard from Thursday, Nov. 14 to Sunday, Nov. 16.

The festival will kick off with their opening night at Sunset Tavern on Thursday, and will continue throughout the weekend with dozens of bands playing at the Tractor Tavern, Salmon Bay Eagles Club, Conor Byrne, Caffe Umbria, CC Filson, and Lagunitas Brewery.

The festival started in 2013 under a different name — the Psychedelic Holiday Freakout Festival — and took place in different neighborhoods around Seattle. The festival has now been based in Ballard for three years, run by independent local record label, Freakout Records.

You can check out the full line-up of artists here, and buy tickets through The Stranger for individual nights or a full weekend pass.

    1. The daily commons crowd I experience does not usually have over $ 5,000.00 in musical gear, a sound man, a set list of originals, and several years of gig worthy experience putting an act together.

      Ah, freak out!
      Le freak, c’est chic
