7-story apartment block planned for 56th and 20th

There’s a plan brewing to construct a 7-story apartment building on the corner of 20th Ave NW and NW 56th St, the current site of the Seattle Pilates Collective, right next door to Boar’s Nest and Pink Bee.

A land use application has been submitted for 2002 NW 56th St to allow for a 47-unit apartment building with four live-work units and parking for 25 vehicles.

Seattle Pilates only just moved into the space earlier this year — they also have a location in Green Lake.

The Seattle Department of Construction & Inspections will accept written comments by email, PRC@seattle.gov, or regular mail to: Department of Construction & Inspections, ATTN: Public Resource Center, P.O. Box 34019, Seattle, WA 98124-4019. If submitting a comment, be sure to include the project number, 3035420-LU.

We’ve reached out to Seattle Pilates Collective to learn more about their plans, and will update with any new information.

  1. That space has already been like 3 things in the past 4 years, plus, being a single-story corner lot building must be extremely tempting to developers. At least the plans include parking for multiple vehicles.
