Xfinity opens retail store in Ballard Blocks

There’s a new Xfinity retail store in Ballard in the original Ballard Blocks building.

The store, located at 4069 14th Ave NW, sells the full range of Comcast’s Xfinity offerings, including their Xfinity TV, internet, home entertainment, and business services.

In addition to the retail goods sold at the store, they’ll also have staff dedicated to handling all Comcast Business customer needs.

Primarily, it looks like another mobile phone store, but with a special section of the store dedicated to their X1 television, which is their live streaming/DVR/music voice-activated TV.

The store hours will be Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 8pm, and Sunday, 11am to 6pm.

  1. No offense to the people that work at and with Xfinty But I Don’t get this? That rent must be huge. Isn’t the movement to cut the cabel chord? And if so, and we opt to buy this streaming service – having a brick and mortar store does not target the buyer? Wouldn’t the optimal move be to do pop ups and an increased social media presence? I don’t get this?

    1. I hear you. Actually, competition is what we all need, and are getting it. My guess is they realized their customers all don’t want to have to travel too far to remediate their issues, pay a bill, and or change equipment, and closing their giant stores makes this possible. I have to imagine it won’t be long and they go the way of Blockbuster.

    2. This is all true Mr Clam Bake, I think a perk of them doing this is, if someone wants to replace their tv box or modem, rather than waiting a couple days for a tech to come swap it, they can just pop on over to the xfinity brick and mortar and take care of that…. But that is the only reason I can think of for this store…. Also to show off the products to potential customers? But social media presence and pop ups seem like a better way to show off the product….
