To limit the number of people inside the store, Ballard Market has launched an online queue for shoppers.
As of yesterday, to shop at Ballard Market, you’ll need to go online to Town & Country Markets Ballard website, click the “get in line” button and enter you mobile number. You’ll get a text when it’s your turn to go in, “so you can wait in your car rather than out in the elements,” Town & Country Markets write on their website.
As with most supermarkets, the grocery store has taken other measures to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, including installing plexiglass shields at checkouts, and taping up the floor to keep people six feet apart in line.
Their vulnerable-population shopping hours are also increasing; now the elderly and vulnerable groups can shop from 9am to 11am Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Town & Country Markets is also planning to instate an “appreciation bonus” for staff who work through the pandemic.
