Kismet Co. in Ballard now offering outdoor haircuts and color

A Ballard hair salon has taken its services outside: Kismet Co. is now offering outdoor haircuts and coloring.

Kismet opened in Ballard just two months before the city went into lockdown. Owner Lisa Clarno told My Ballard she decided to move her operations outdoors when one of her clients was struggling with her mental health and terrified to get her hair done.

“I get to help someone’s mental health in a world filled with anxiety and depression right now. There was no other choice, I had to make this happen for everyone,” Clarno says.

Along with sprucing up her back patio, Clarno had to extend the salon insurance to reach the outside perimeter. The only thing that will still happen indoors is shampooing, but she says the door is left open at all times to keep fresh air flowing.

Clarno is offering all her normal services: balayage, foils, and haircuts for both men and women.

“Coronavirus will not stop hair magic!” Clarno told the My Ballard Group.

      1. Various factually tenuous statements. Hyperbole. Fomenting against Democrats. Something something something. Positioning self as adult in world of children. Oh, and that other thing.
