Temporary intersection closures at 24th and Market this week

This week, SDOT is closing parts of the intersection at 24th Ave NW and NW Market St to repair cracked concrete panels and complete electrical work.

SDOT says they’re working on panels on the north and south halves in the intersection, requiring temporary closures of each half (see graphics below). During the south-half closure, vehicles traveling west on Shilshole Ave NW towards NW Market St should instead turn right on 22nd Ave NW to access Market.

When the north half of the intersection closes, drivers heading south on 24th Ave NW should turn left on NW 56th and right on 22nd Ave NW to continue to NW Market St.

SDOT says Metro Route 40 is being rerouted to NW 56th St until Friday, Oct. 2.
