Design review meeting coming up soon for apartment planned at former El Camion site

It’s been three years since El Camion shut its doors on the corner of 15th Ave NW and NW 65th St to make way for a 5-story apartment building, and now it looks like the project is finally moving ahead.

A company called Ballard 15th Ave LLC—an entity of developer Curt Pryde—purchased the corner lot in 2016 for $1.7 million. But in 2019, the company sold it for over $3.6 million to a company called Villa of Gilman Park LLC. The new architect is d/Arch.

The design plans haven’t changed since the original application and still propose a 60-unit apartment with parking for 30 vehicles.

The virtual design review meeting will be on July 25 at 5 p.m. The design packet isn’t yet published, but we’ll share more details as they become available.
