The 2nd annual Ballard Wine Walk is set for mid-October, with 15 tasting locations spread around the neighborhood.
The first wine walk, organized by the Ballard Alliance, was back in 2019. Due to the pandemic, the Alliance put the event on pause. This year it’s back, happening on Oct. 15 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. all over downtown Ballard.
The event will start with a check-in station at Columbia Bank (2212 NW 56th St) to receive a wristband, map, and tasting tickets. They’ll have Ballard Wine Walk commemorative glasses available for purchase, but attendees are also welcome to bring their own tasting glasses.
The participating Ballard stores will include the following:
- Annie’s Art & Frame
- Fair Trade Winds
- Market St Shoes
- Restyle for Ryther
- Secret Garden Books
- Simple & Just
- Sweet Mickey’s Candy Shoppe
- Woodland Mod
Only Washington wines will be served at the event, featuring the following 15 wineries: Full Pull Wines, Structure Wines, Kerloo Cellars, Three of Cups Winery, The Orcas Project, Castle and Crown Cellars, Dineen Cellars, Madrone Cellars, LOVE THAT RED WINERY, Dahlman Cellars, T2, Baer Winery, Ambassador Vineyard, Cascade Cliffs Vineyard and Winery, Aluel Cellars.
The event is 21+ and will happen rain or shine. The 2019 event sold out, and the organizers recommend buying tickets early online. Tickets are $35 for 10 tasting tickets, with an additional three tasting tickets available for $10.
