The Ballard Bridge was partially closed for about an hour during Tuesday’s afternoon commute due to a pickup truck dangling precariously over the edge of the bridge.
The driver was traveling southbound on the bridge at about 4 p.m. when they collided with the railing, sending the two front tires over the edge. The driver was able to exit the truck on their own before paramedics arrived and didn’t need medical care.
The accident closed the two southbound lanes and the left northbound lane until about 5:30 p.m.
No word yet on what caused the accident.
