All garbage, recycling, and yard/food waste pickup has been cancelled today due to unsafe road conditions.
Seattle Public Utilities says customers who normally put their waste out on Thursdays should instead set their carts out by 7 a.m. Friday morning. They may choose to delay it again, and in that case, Thursday customers should bring in their containers and will be allowed to set out double the amount of waste next week.
Tuesday and Wednesday customers will also be permitted to set double the amount of waste out next week during their normal collection days at no extra charge.
As a reminder, any time your waste is not collected by the end of the following day, you can set out double the normal amount in the next week’s collection.
