The Ballard Library will soon host a digital device dropoff event for community members to recycle old laptops and other electronics.
Seattle Public Libraries has partnered with InterConnection for the event, scheduled for March 19. InterConnection is a certified Microsoft Refurbisher that will complete a data destruction process on each device. The organization then refurbishes each item to be distributed to underserved communities.
The Ballard Library and InterConnection will accept the following items:
- Desktop computers
- Laptops
- Smartphones
- Servers
- Hard drives
- Cables and accessories
The device dropoff event will be Sunday, March 19 from 12 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
