Police are searching for a suspect in a robbery from earlier this month.
A Ballard woman was assaulted and robbed of her purse at 2 a.m. on April 15 in Ballard. Police say she was attempting to go home when she was approached by a man who said he’d seen her at a nearby bar and tried to talk to her. When she denied his advances, he grabbed her purse, causing her to be thrown onto the street.
The suspect was last seen running southbound on 20th Ave NW.
Seattle Fire responded and provided aid to the victim from an injury she sustained during the fall.
The woman described the man as white with multiple tattoos on his neck and hands and a tattoo near his left eye. She says he was wearing a red jacket and white baseball cap.
