Coopers Optique opens new store on NW Market St Ballard

A new optical store has opened in Ballard: Coopers Optique.

Coopers Optique, owned by Zac Cooper, is now at 2220 NW Market St Ste 100B.

The optical store is in the former Bop Street Records space, which the owners of the building reduced to roughly a quarter of the previous space, adding a new mezzanine and skylights. The rest of the space was converted into six micro-loft spaces for lease.

Owner Zac Cooper opened Coopers Optique four years ago in Uptown but moved his store to Ballard this fall. He says they specialize in “colorful, bold, eclectic” handmade glasses and sunglasses and will eventually offer eye exams.

Coopers is open Tuesday to Sunday: Tuesday – Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
