Ballard Little League seeking memories and photos to celebrate its 70th season

The Ballard Little League baseball team is turning 70 this year, and the organizers want to celebrate with photos and memories from players of years past.

Ballard Little League Board Vice President Lesley Rogers Krokower says they’re looking for ways to honor the volunteers, players, coaches, and sponsors over the past 70 years:

BLL has been serving baseball, softball and tee-ball players dating back to 1954. BLL is made up entirely of volunteers – board members, coaches, field organizers, uniform buyers, sponsorship coordinators, to name just a few. We take great pride in teaching and modeling good baseball and softball skills to young players of all levels. BLL could not function without the sponsorships from local businesses and organizations like Ballard Rotary, who provide scholarships to make sure everyone can play ball.

If you have a memory or photo to share, you can email it to communications@ballardlittleleague.com.

The league, open to both boys and girls, is taking player registrations and looking for volunteer adult umpires for its 70th season; check out their website for more information.
