Sports bar Slim Goody taking over former Great State Burger location

A new sports bar appears to making moves on the former Great State Burger location at 5411 Ballard Ave.

There’s a liquor license application on the door of the shuttered building, and the applicant’s business name is Slim Goody.

Great State Burger closed over a year ago after about three years in that location.

While Slim Goody doesn’t appear to have much of an internet presence yet (their website is still under construction), a tweet from October 2023 says it’s going to have food, beer, cocktails and channel “Milwaukee meets Seattle”.

We’re looking into more details and will update you with any information about the bar.
