The city has cancelled all residential garbage, recycling, or food/yard waste pickup in Seattle today, Thursday, February 6.
However, Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) says the north and south transfer stations will be open at 10 a.m. today. Pickup will resume on Feb. 7 on a revised schedule—customers who normally have Thursday pickup will have waste collected on Friday instead, and those with waste collection on Friday will have their pickup day changed to Saturday this week.
⚠️Due to continuing winter weather conditions, there will be no residential garbage, recycling, or food/yard waste pickup in Seattle today, Thursday, February 6, 2025.
