The locally owned thrift shop Thread Hunter is moving into a new spot in May—it’s taking over the former Truffles & More location at 5510 22nd Ave NW.
Owners Elissa Pemberton and Melissa McLennan opened Thread Hunter in 2022 in the Ballard Blossom building. The former florist shop was converted into a business incubator called The Ballard Collective in 2021, and Thread Hunter has been operating out of the space for almost three years.
Thread Hunter’s new store will also be a pick-up spot for Truffles & More, which closed in that location in March.
“A huge thank you to our loyal customers, friends, and family for helping us turn this dream into a reality. We couldn’t have done it without your incredible support,” Pemberton and McLennan posted on social media.
To celebrate the move, they’re holding a grand opening on May 3 from 12 to 4 p.m.
They’re also opening a Pioneer Square location at 165 S Jackson St on May 10.
