Salmon Bay FC and Ballard FC getting ready to launch their 2025 summer season

Seattle’s soccer scene is set for a big summer as Salmon Bay FC and Ballard FC prepare to kick off their 2025 campaigns at Interbay Stadium.

Salmon Bay FC will make its anticipated debut in the USL Women’s League, while Ballard FC returns for its fourth season, aiming to reclaim national glory after a strong 2024 that ended in a surprising early playoff exit.

Both clubs have already sold over 900 season tickets each. Home games are scheduled from May through July, and the teams will host 13 matches at Interbay Stadium in total.

The new women’s league Salmon Bay FC, first announced in October 2024, has quickly captured the attention of local soccer fans, bolstered by a star-studded ownership group that includes NWSL standouts Lu Barnes, Jess Fishlock, Olivia Van Der Jagt, and Sam Hiatt. Head Coach Malia Arrant will lead the team into its inaugural season, with high hopes.

“The Salmon Bay FC roster is looking incredibly strong ahead of our inaugural season,” said Tiffany Mallick, vice president of Salmon Bay FC and Ballard FC. “We can’t wait to welcome a sure-to-be sellout crowd to Interbay Stadium for the USLW home opener on May 30th.”

Ballard FC, meanwhile, is seeking redemption after an early playoff departure last season, despite winning its second consecutive USL League Two Northwest Division title. They also made a memorable appearance in the U.S. Open Cup, falling just short against Spokane Velocity FC.

“We couldn’t be more excited for this upcoming season,” said club co-founder and president Sam Zisette. “Our goal remains to win two national championships this season, and fans can expect to see that ambition matched on the pitch all summer long.”

Fans attending matches can look forward to an upgraded game-day experience, including a beer garden by Reuben’s Brews, local food vendors, kids’ activities, and live music. Gates open 90 minutes before kickoff.

Tickets remain in high demand, with limited season tickets available. Single-game tickets are priced at $18 for seated general admission, $14 for standing-room, and $40 for field-level VIP seating. Children five and under are admitted free.

Ballard FC’s first home match is set for May 23 against Bigfoot FC, while Salmon Bay FC will debut on May 26 against Spokane Zephyr. Full schedules and ticket information are available at goballardfc.com/schedule and salmonbayfc.com/schedule.
