A new veterinary clinic recently opened in Ballard: Heart of Chelsea Veterinary Group is operating out of the ground floor of The Commons (2212 NW 56th St).
Heart of Chelsea, which operates several clinics in New York, has expanded to Seattle with its first location in Ballard. The group describes its clinics as providing “high-quality, individualized veterinary care in a warm and welcoming environment.”
Dr. Catriona Love spearheaded the opening after spending many years with the Heart of Chelsea team in New York before relocating to Seattle in 2020 with her husband and soon-to-be daughter. After settling in the Pacific Northwest, she searched for a veterinary home that matched what she had in New York but never quite found the right fit. On the website, she says she is excited to bring the Heart of Chelsea name and values to Ballard, offering the same level of compassionate, individualized care that shaped her practice back east. She has since planted roots in Seattle with her husband, two children, and their pets.
The vet will hold its grand opening on Sunday, Oct. 5, from noon to 3 p.m. at its new location.
