Sunset Hill Community Hall (3003 NW 66th St) will host its first Spring Fever Market on Saturday, March 28, from 4 to 9 p.m.
According to organizers, the event will celebrate art, music, and community, with activities taking place on both floors of the community hall.
The idea for the market grew out of the DIY Art Club, which Ballard creatives began hosting at the Sunset Hill Community Hall last year. Ballard artist Teresa Stern, one of the event organizers, said the group wanted to expand on the creative community that had formed around the club.

“A few of us Ballard creatives started the DIY Art Club at the Sunset Hill Community Hall last year, and the creative spirit took over and things grew from there,” Stern said. “We love this building and the community that’s growing within it, and wanted to do something that gave back to it. It felt like a natural extension to dream up something bigger — an event that celebrates spring, showcases local art and music, and helps support the hall. I’m excited to be part of the team bringing this event to life, and to participate as an artist vendor also. It’s going to be a pretty festive night!”
Organizers say local makers and artists will sell and display their work on both floors of the historic building. Music from Swingularity will take place on the Upper Hall stage, while snacks and beverages will be available in the Lower Hall.
Ballard-based Rooftop Brewing Company is sponsoring the event.
