The popular Lao burger joint Ox Burger is now available at Fair Isle Brewing (936 NW 49th St).
Ox Burger, which is located at 1523 E Madison St, is an offshoot of Seattle Lao restaurant Taurus Ox and is known for blending Lao flavors with classic smash burgers. The restaurant’s signature Lao Burger features smashed beef patties alongside ingredients such as house-cured pork belly, jaew bong mayo, pickled red onions, taro stem, cilantro, and tomato jaew.
Last year, Food & Wine included Ox Burger on its list of the top burger spots in the United States, highlighting its Lao-inspired approach to the smash burger.
The burger operation will serve food at the taproom on Sundays and Mondays. The residency adds a second food partner at the brewery. La Marea will continue serving in the taproom Tuesday through Saturday.
This isn’t the first time Fair Isle has joined forces with a wildly popular burger joint: Back in 2023, Beast & Cleaver operated inside Fair Isle with its 49th St Beast concept for about a year.
Fair Isle said the new arrangement started last weekend and will continue on an ongoing basis.
