Edible Garden Tour returns to Ballard on June 27

The annual Edible Garden Tour will return to Ballard on Saturday, June 27, offering visitors a chance to explore neighborhood gardens featuring fruits, vegetables, berries, and other edible plants.

The self-guided tour, organized by Sustainable Ballard, runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will focus on gardens in southeast Ballard. Participants can walk or bike between locations, which include planting strips, containers, raised beds, fruit trees, and other urban growing spaces.

Gardeners will be available throughout the tour to answer questions and share information about their growing methods.

Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased online or at the tour’s start point, Collective Chemistry, located at 5201 11th Ave. NW. Participants can pick up a tour map at the start location by showing a printed or digital ticket.

Children ages 10 and younger may attend for free and do not need to register. Sustainable Ballard Supporting Members may attend at no cost.

Last year’s Edible Garden Tour showcased a variety of backyard and small-space growing projects throughout Ballard, giving participants a chance to see how neighbors cultivate fruits, vegetables, and edible plants in urban settings.

According to organizers, the 2026 tour marks the 17th year of the event.
