With the Ballard Music & Seafoodfest set for this weekend, organizers are making a final call for volunteers to help staff the three-day event.
The festival is seeking volunteers for shifts on July 10, 11, and 12, with a variety of roles available throughout the weekend. According to organizers, volunteers can sign up to assist with duties including serving food, staffing beverage areas, working information booths, helping in children’s activity areas, and assisting with event safety.

Organizers say they have the greatest need for volunteers during the following shifts:
Saturday, July 11
- Kids Deck (all shifts)
- Kids Cove (all shifts)
- Beer Garden (evening shift, 7:15–10:15 p.m.)
Sunday, July 12
- Information Booth (all shifts)
- Kids Deck (all shifts)
- Kids Cove (all shifts)
- Salmon BBQ (evening shift)
- Beer Garden (evening shift)
High school students can also volunteer to earn community service hours. Organizers note that most volunteer positions are open to all ages, with the exception of roles in the Beer & Cocktail Garden.
According to the Ballard Alliance, volunteers receive a complimentary Trident Seafoods salmon barbecue dinner and an invitation to a volunteer appreciation dinner later this summer.
Those interested in volunteering can learn more and sign up through the festival’s volunteer registration page. Questions about volunteering can be directed to volunteer coordinator Wren Wilson at wren@ballardalliance.com.
