Five Guys closes Ballard location at 15th and Market

The Five Guys in Ballard at 1500 NW Market St is now closed.

Five Guys opened 12 years ago on the corner of 15th Ave NW and NW Market St. They posted a sign on the door alerting customers, saying that they were permanently closing on July 5.

“Serving the Ballard community has been an honor, and we are truly grateful for every guest who chose us for their burgers, fries, and shakes,” they wrote.

They added that the Shoreline (15515 Westminster Way N) and Northgate (311 NE 103rd St) locations would remain open.

Five Guys has shuttered stores across the country this year, according to Fast Company, including several in California, Florida, Illinois and Iowa.

My Ballard spoke with employees from the Shoreline and Northgate stores who confirmed the closure, saying they weren’t briefed on why the Ballard store was closing.

The closure comes not long after Five Guys was burglarized in April.

No news yet on what will take its space, but we’ll keep you posted.

Thanks for the photo and tip, Cassin!
