The former Vine Baptist Church in Loyal Heights (7750 21st Ave NW) will soon be demolished to make way for three separate residential plots.
The church was built in 1948 and was originally home to Mount Olive Lutheran, which operated for several decades before closing and merging with Our Savior Lutheran and Zion Lutheran in 2008 to form the Lamb of God Evangelical Lutheran Church, which now operates in at 12509 27th Ave NE.
Vine Baptist moved into the building in 2008 and closed when it lost its lease in January 2025. It relocated temporarily to a member’s home in Shoreline before closing permanently.
The property sold for just over $2 million in April 2025.
Now the property owner, Legacy Capitol Group, plans to subdivide the land into three separate units.
Demolition is pending, but we’ll keep you updated on plans for the redevelopment.
