Atria boutique opens this weekend on Market Street

A new boutique retail shop, Atria, is opening tomorrow, October 11, at 2607 NW Market Street. The store will specialize in art, ceramics, and vintage home goods.

Atria is co-owned by local artist Jane Kidder, whose work has been featured in past Ballard ArtWalk events. “Our curated product line of handmade and small-batch homewares encourages a slow and intentional way of life,” Kidder told the Ballard Alliance.

Kidder says she’s inspired by “Japanese aesthetics, simplicity, and the natural world,” and collects hand-woven textiles, small-batch fragrances, and handmade ceramics.

According to the shop’s Instagram, Atria was “born from our passion for showcasing local art and introducing our clients to beautiful, handmade objects—it’s our love letter to the Seattle arts community.”

The new store will also serve as a featured Ballard ArtWalk location. The space was previously home to Seattle Edge, a knife-sharpening shop, and before that, Le Merde, a vintage clothing store.
