Back in January, the Original Pancake House along 15th Ave. NW just north of NW 80th St. closed its doors for good. In the last couple weeks, the Crown Hill Broiler quietly opened in its place.
The new kid-friendly restaurant and bar is starting out with burgers — 12 different options — along with sandwiches and salads for its soft opening. Early reviews in the My Ballard Facebook Group and Yelp are positive with special raves for the onion rings.
Here’s a look at the burger side of the menu.
The interior was designed by Sue Gentry Interior Design. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Delicious onion rings?!?!? They’ll get at least one visit from me for that alone. And if they really ARE delicious? Well, then, it could be a nightly thing! :D
I’ve had the onion rings. They are legit delicious.
Soon will upload a pic of mine from there… visiting soon..
Yum, love to check out the onion rings.
Can I bring my crotch sniffing dog?
You only have ONE dog?
Pleb.
Jerk!
We’ve been twice. Burgers are very good and hefty. Fries taste good but are too flaccid for my taste. Son liked the very big Cobb salad.
Do they have gluten free vegan options?
Finally a restaurant free of soyboys. Make Ballard great again!!!

You are the dude who lets his dog at his junk! We should be nervous for you!
But what did they do with that sign? I’d pay top dollar.
Had a bacon burger and a beer a few nights ago. Good stuff. Could become a regular for the family.

Used to go there for breakfast back in the 60’s when I was a kid.
Its Awful!
Perfect. Non creative place for non creative Ballad.
You must be really creative.
