The paleo restaurant on Ballard Ave, Carnivore, has closed for some interior renovations and menu upgrades.
Carnivore says they plan to reopen in September with a new bar and food menu. Their paleo focus will remain the same — no grains, legumes, processed sugar, white potatoes, dairy, fructose or vegetable oils — but with some new menu items.
As Seattle Eater reports, chef Michelle Heinrich Pegues will start making from-scratch, gluten-free pasta and paleo focaccia bread. They’ll also start offering house-made sodas and new cocktails, including one very paleo-sounding concoction called the Blood of My Enemies, which is a charred pepper and onion combination with heirloom tomato juice, vodka, gin, confit lemon and a dried bison swizzle.
Their reopening date is expected to be September 18th — we’ll update when they’re back open for business.
