The former Volterra’s location could become a new burger joint.
The space has been empty since the Italian restaurant closed at the end of 2017, and for a time was destined to become a rotisserie chicken restaurant called Poulet Galore. Those plans recently fell through, and now it looks like it may turn into a new location for Great State Burger.
Because the space is on Ballard Ave, the Ballard Avenue Landmark District Board met this morning to learn about some changes the restaurant would like to make, including a new sign with lighting, plus window signage and new exterior paint.
Great State Burger currently has six locations around the greater Seattle region. We’ve reached out to the company for more information about their plans, and will report back with any new info.
