Ballard SeafoodFest returns for 2022 after pandemic hiatus

The Ballard SeafoodFest is back on the books for this summer, after a two-year pandemic pause.

The Ballard Alliance has announced SeafoodFest 2022 will be happening July 15-17 with the usual fanfare including a block party to start off the weekend in the streets of downtown Ballard.

“Similar to previous years, the weekend festival will kick off with a block party around the Mainstage and Beer and Cocktail Garden on Friday evening,” the Alliance announced in their recent newsletter.

Then, on Saturday and Sunday the full festival will feature amazing seafood offerings, great music performances, locally brewed and crafted beverages, arts and crafts vendors and fun for our little skippers.”

The Alliance says they will be sharing details about the music lineup, sponsorship and volunteer opportunities, and children’s area activities.

SeafoodFest very nearly happened last year, with the Alliance having planned a smaller event in the autumn that was called “Off the Hook”. But with the arrival of the delta variant, they canceled the event.
